Speed/Tempo effect?

I was wondering if anyone made a pedal that could control the speed or tempo of your effects? The beat synched stuff ala slicer and adrenalinn are the only things that come to mind.

Well it depends on what effects you want to control, and whether their speed can be altered by midi, tap-tempo or CV inputs. Any pedal with an expression pedal input should allow you to do this. All of the moogerfoogers that have LFOs have an LFO out, which outputs CV that can be used by other moogerfoogers, or any other pedal that takes in a CV for rate

what im talking about is controlling everything after it has been looped. somthing that would be an independent control of the speed/time and not necessasarialy comming out of one pedal. it would be cool if say, i created a texture of chords, rhythms or what have you and the band is playing at a set tempo. it would be cool to do some triplet or stretching of the time of what im playing and then comming back to the original tempo.

Gotcha, I didn't realize you were talking about manipulating the speed of a loop. No idea. I've never used a looper, and don't know anything about them

What looper do you have? If I remember correctly, you posted the same question awhile ago, and I think the problem is you don't really know what you want. Slicer and Adrenalinn effects have nothing to do with changing the time of a loop you have already recorded.

If you record a loop, and you want to slow it down or speed it up, you just need a looper that can do this. The EHX 2880 is great for this. Without knowing what looper you are using, I couldn't tell you whether your looper has the ability.

Now, if you record some quarter notes in a loop and you want to change them into triplets but without changing the pitch, AFAIK this isn't possible with any stompbox. You could definitely rig it up in Plogue Bidule or Max/MSP if you wanted to spend a LOT of time making the patch. This would be very complex. I can't think of any way you could possibly do that in realtime with stompboxes.

If you can clarify what you want to do, in really specific terms, perhaps someone could give you more help. As it is, what you're talking about is so vague that I don't think anyone's going to be able to help.

i had the boomerang but i had to get more space on my board so now i have an rc-2. im not sure that the ehx looper can do what im talking about. im thinking it might be some advanced tremolo or something. I don't want an expression pedal type pedal i'd rather use my hand to turn the knob.

Yeah, I think you should solidify your thoughts a bit. What do you mean by advanced tremolo?

yes i was refering to manipulating the loop. chopping up what is layered and being able to, using a knob, speed up or slow down the texture or rhythm to match the band. if i wanted to twist the knob in time to create rhythms with the loop like eighth note or triplets or whatever. i just saw the gig-fx chopper. that might get me there

The Digitech JamMan has a nice tap tempo feature.
