Spend my money - Xerograph Deluxe, El Capistan, or Something Else?

I've got about $300 or so to spend and "need" a new pedal. Really interested in the Iron Ether Xerograph Deluxe as well as the Oxide and Frantabit. Not real sure of their practicality yet but I'm not very practical. I'm also in love with the Strymon El Capistan but I question how it will sound on bass...the guitar demos are just wonderful. I could also use a cool pedal board and have been considering the Monkey Dream boards, if for nothing else than the cool lighting.

So...spend my money...what would you get for $300 and why?

Well, it depends on what you really want - awesome new sounds or a board for your babies to live on.

What kind of music do you play?

The Xero seems like the all-around multi-tool of pedals. I have no experience with one, but from what I understand of the (very knowledgable and smart) users here it is a sure win.

I own the FrantaBit and can assure you it is unconventional. Especially with an expression pedal and some delay. It is plain insane.

I'll bet you could get a less expensive board, maybe a pedaltrain, and a pedal and meet your $300 mark. And I'll bet there will be more thought out answers to come . The IE pedals will not let you down. Best of luck!

What I want? That's the problem, I dunno LOL. What do I play? Metal - been listening to a lot of Crowbar lately but before that was High on Fire and Mastodon.

Thanks for the responses...anyone else wanna spend my money?
