StompBox compressor question

Hi all,

I own an ebs td 650, which has a built in compressor.
I also am going to buy some pedals for my first pedal board.
My question is:
does it worth buying a compressor pedal (I am thinking of an MXR)? Most of the times I am going to use my pedalboard with my td 650...
Except of some rehearsals where I am going to play through a cheap amp without a built in compressor.
So, should I buy a compressor pedal or save the money for something else?

Thank you and sorry for my bad English, I hope I got understood

I like a very little compression, mine would most often be set as a limiter, just to prevent spikes. In your position, I would use the one in your amp and use the cash for something else...
