| | | | Suggest a flanger pedal I need a flanger, but I'm not sure which one to get. I need control of LFO rate and depth, regen and pre-delay/"manual", in a pedalboard-friendly size and shape and no weird power requirements. I would also prefer something that can me bought new. Any suggestions?
(BF2 is discontinued, BF3 isn't velcro-friendly, M117 needs 18V...) |

Comes with power, has 4 different flangers (IIRC)... bulky size, but for what you get it's not bad at all. I bought it to cover all the sounds that I needed to use here and there, but didn't want to need to keep buying another random pedals. Couldn't be happier.

Only caveat is it needs Boss ACA but you can get around that by daisy-chaining it with any "standard" 9v or PSA pedal. Or run it with 9v battery. No hassle.
If you get one and don't like it you can always flip it easily enough and not lose any money.

If you get one and don't like it you can always flip it easily enough and not lose any money. | I had one of the "green label"/MIJ 2's right before this, and my issue was with how my band downtunes, the 2 just didn't give enough "effect" to make it stand out. I would only be able to play the D and G strings which were detuned a step to C and F, so it wasn't that fun. The 2B holds solid on my B and E strings tuned to A and C.
On an E std tuned bass it worked just fine though. |

Plus, if you don't like it and decide to sell it you're not losing nearly as much as you would if you'd bought it new and resold it. There really is no drawback. |

A lot of us started off as "new only" pedal users until we saw the light, savings, and realized this was a good place to buy used from. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
