Wah before distortion? Well, I used to do that when I was a guitard, but for sheer hell-raising impact you can't beat wah AFTER fuzz.
Pitch effects track better the closer they are to your instrument. And the don't work well after other effects, particularly distortion.
They put phaser in an entirely different category to flanger?!?! Why?
In short, trust your ears and experiment. You'll learn more about your equipment and have fun making crazy sounds. Isn't that what owning effects pedals is all about?
