Sunn Model-T-like OD/Dist

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, friends!
I recently plugged my EB MM Sterling into an old Sunn Model-T
amp and completely fell in love with this stoner and doomy overdrive->to distortion sound. Is there any boutique pedal on the market, which was build on the schematics of the Sunn amps or has similar sound?
Thanks for the help.

Killer amp! I'm interested in this aswell. a proco rat is a well known "holy grail " of tone combo for that stoner/sludge/drone sound. Maybe that could help get you in the right direction of sound

I had a proco rat( the new one, not the one with the LM308 chip), but the sound was 'not that good' =/

I can attest that a vintage rat clone sounded great on g****r with a sunn model t.
I don't think a clone of the sunn's drive section has been done. I could wrong though!

Officially Licensed Circuits - Quality Kits For The DIYer

check these out. There isn't a specific Sunn clone, but between the orange clone, hi-watt clone, and Soldano clone, you should be close

Now, I'm attentively looking into the Rat-tail demos. This is nice
