i'm interested in the SC, but what kind of power supply does it take, ac or dc ? i did a search and looked at bassfuzz.com and didn't see a definitive answer.

The tantalum caps inside are rated at 16v - so don't go near that or they'll need replacing!
12v is great for increasing headroom. Boss style neg tip.
