good choice!

this thing sounds amazing, so far (clips forthcoming...)! haven't tried it out with the band yet, but i'm expecting greatness. it's like a tonebender/pickle pie with more character choices, i guess (the "depth" knob is awesome, as is the "mids" switch). TONNES of heavyfat lows on tap! i just got it a few days ago... i'll throw more info down when i have it.

Hmmm I was checking these out because I'm friends with them on myspace for whatever reason. I'll be gladly awaiting clips.

Quick question, what are the dimensions on this? Is it the size of a LBM?

I have one that I use for guitar sounds. It's absolutely ridiculously great on guitar. Bit too smooth for my tastes, for bass (just guessing based on what it sounds like on guitar). I like a bit more jagged texture on a bass distortion.

It's a somewhat darker/smoother Big Muff with more tone controls, a mid boost/cut toggle, even more creamy gain, and you get Big Muff sustain minus the uncontrollable gak that you get from turning the BM sustain knob up very high.

IMO.

great description! who needs soundclips? you all know what the muff is like, right? well, think of this as a muff with more control, so the experience is even more pleasant.

to appease...

recorded a clip (very late at night and slightly inebriated, so excuse the playing). i tried to separate it so that it wouldn't be 6 minutes, but for some reason it didn't work out that way. sorry.

the clip starts clean.
i keep the SUPERCOLLIDER's tone knob at 12:00 for the duration of the clip (the tonal range is vast, though).
the layout of the clips is:

"gain" at 9:00
--"depth" low, "mids" switch down, then "mids" switch up
--"depth" 12:00, "mids" switch down, then "mids" switch up
--"depth" high, "mids" switch down, then "mids"switch up

"gain" at 12:00
--"depth" low, "mids" switch down, then "mids" switch up
--"depth" 12:00, "mids" switch down, then "mids" switch up
--"depth" high, "mids" switch down, then "mids"switch up

"gain" at 5:00 (maxed)
--"depth" low, "mids" switch down, then "mids" switch up
--"depth" 12:00, "mids" switch down, then "mids" switch up
--"depth" high, "mids" switch down, then "mids"switch up

it's pretty repetitive, but i tried to give a good idea of what the pedal's capable of. the "tone" knob, combined with the features demonstrated in the clip, leads to a much wider array of... tones. i just wanted to give examples of what the "mids" and "depth" functions do.

enjoy! (or...?)

oh, almost forgot: (here is the clip!)

i used it for a second at my show last night. for the first time ever i was able to hear my "muffy-fuzzed" bass in the mix.
