So is this a boost, a cut, a boost/cut, or something else entirely?

It controls the mids...

To the left, no mids (scooped)...

To the right, more mids to your liking (up to flat)...

Version one had a switch on it either scooping the mids or evening them out.

Actually, like all the other knobs on the Supercollider, it only adjusts the amount of awesome. Turned all the way down, the awesome level is flat, as you turn it up you boost the awesome, until you max out, at which point, kick ass eagles and naked women should materialize in front of your speakers.

So at 12 o'clock its level, to the right of that its boosted and to the left its cut? Or all the way to the left cut and all the way to the right level?

If I understand it correctly, turned all the way up, it gives flat mids, when you start turning it down, then you start cutting.

You could always message Mark on Myspace though.

Matt is correct. Just order one. If you don't like, you can sell it on here. Someone will scoop it up same day...

He took awhile to respond to me too. This was a few months ago. It took a little over a week to get a response. Between his job, and keeping up with orders he has a lot to do. Just give it some time.

When I ordered my Ver2 - about 3 months ago - he did take quite a while to respond to my first email. About 2 weeks. Although he did let me know that he doesn't check it everyday....
Very cool pedal - partnered with my Tube driven overdrive, this combo reeks of awesome.

I haven't seen eagles or naked women materialize yet - is there an internal trimpot to turn up the awesomeness?

I'll be getting a mini-version of the SC in about a week. I'm damned stoked!

I've got Beast #1 (to replace my original Supercollider) coming to me soon! He was supposed to send it by halloween, but said that he's having some problems right now (didn't go into details) so things are being delayed.

No, no there is no internal trimpot. You could try making intense rocking out faces while you play. The awesomness of your facial expression will flow through the pickups into your cable, and into your supercollider, where you will then apply the desired amount of awesome boost, using the knob, or knobs of your choice.

I didn't get any eagles or naked chicks appear with mine, only snakes, Harley Davidsons, and a rather tasty t-bone steak.

then, it seems, i get the best of two worlds! i get naked chicks and a steak, and that's it! one naked chick feeds me the steak, and then we all rock out HARD when i'm done.

it's always a good time when the SUPERCOLLIDER is involved!
