i just picked up an electroharmonix holy stain pedal the other day because I was looking for a good reverb for my guitar. I was plesantly surprised by this things versatility and so on.
however, the real surprise came when i plugged my bass into it. I put the "dirt" setting on clean and the color control on "dark" only to find that my darkstar's high output was able to extract a really cool/light overdrive. I was blown away by this sound. the coolest thing is that it is very touch sensitive so i can go from virtually no drive(by playing softly) to a very warm, tubelike overdrive when I really dig into the strings.
conclusion, if you're looking for a unique bass overdrive, give this thing a try. it's only $100 and you get tremolo, 2 reverbs, pitch shifter, overdrive, and fuzz. good stuff
