Swollen Pickle is acting as a kill switch

Sign in to disble this ad
Every time I engage the swollen pickle it is acting like a killswtich instead of its intended fuzzy purpose. The pedal passes signal with no problem but when engaged no signal goes through. Can anyone help me out?

Is it plugged in? Does it need a fresh battery?

Yes i completely isolated it from my board as I thought it was probably cables but I found out it's the pedal. I use a 1spot so no need for a battery but I should plug in a battery just to see.

Is the effect volume turned all the way down? I can't tell you how many times that happened to me (doh!).

I've messed around with the knobs while the pedal is on and nothing.

i had that happen with an envelope filter once and it turned out that i put the cable from the bass into the output and the cable to the amp into the input.

That was going to be my suggestion.

Or maybe Way Huge/Dunlop are taking the "big muffs disappear in the mix" idea a little too literally...

It could just be your switch. I'd contact Dunlop's customer service department...I've never had anything but great results from them.

It doesn't smell any more burned than my other pedals. I'm going to contact dunlop today.
I've tried using a battery, different cables, and different power supplies.

I called dunlop today and a customer rep told me to send it in for repair. No repair cost and no return shipping cost, so that's pretty good. However, it might take up to two weeks..
