So i bought a Way huge swollen pickle last weekend had great fun winding the shop assistants up getting them to move the whole way huge display board into the bass section to try out as i had been recommended this pedal here on TB.
So i tired it out on a MIM jazz bass and harke and although this isn't my normal set up i was still impressed by the versatility of the pedal and found it defiantly had more of the tone i was looking for unlike the Pro Rat-2 i was using.
So i picked it up off them for £116 which is cheaper then i found it on the internet and thought it was a bit of a bargain.
Had practice Thursday and it was the first time i got to use it with my set up because all my primary gear is normally packed up else where for gigging or what ever else, And OMG it was AMAZING such a beautiful tone i wanted to cry i would recommend every one having one of these in the pedal board best pedal I've come across in a while.
The only thing was it was a lot louder then i was expecting i had it on about half when i turned it on and thought I'd instantly ruined my speakers but luckily they survived the epic attack and now I've got it set on about 1/4 and my boys play load.

114 pounds or whatever sounds like a pretty good deal though!

I still like my Supercollider over the swollen pickle and original big muff. A mids knob and incredible fuzz bite? win. |

I am buying a muff again. |

It is probably good that I don't have room on my board for a WHSP, because I think I would probably end up buying it if I did. It really is a killer sounding fuzz. |

I also believe that it goes from scoop to boost. Im still not bloody sure myself, but it definitely sounds better WHSP->wah when the voice is opposite of the "factory default". |

What can I say? I'm a sucker for lots of knobs, and it sounds so raunchy. I haven't tweaked the internal trimpots yet...but i will.
i think i am in the minority in that i love the name too. it's very appropriate for the way the pedal sounds. |

| | | | Swollen Pickle is a MUST for that extreme heavy doom sound. Only other pedal that I tried that could compete was the Ultra Violet from OohLaLa(for another $100 at least).
Try it, the low end can only be described as "bong rattling" LOL
