Does anybody have one of these and how do you like it or not?

Does it give serious overdrive or just a little? Im thinking of getting a used one for my main od/dist effect.

Cheers,

i love mine. it does a little and a lot. pop in your favorite tubes and let her rip.

it's a loud preamp. thick. and it really shines in live situations.

the overdrive creeps as it gets hotter. at some point during the gig you'll need to dial back the drive, but you'll only have to do that once. it doesn't continually creep.

speaking of heat, it also needs space to breathe. leave at least one rack space open above it.

despite what people say, the aural enhancer does wonders for tightening up overdriven tube flab and definitely improves the sound.

it's great as a practice amp. the loudest 5 watts you'll ever hear.

ps... i think it sounds a lot better as a preamp than as an effects unit.
