swr mini'mo bass problem!!!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everyone, i just bought a SWR mini'mo bass preamp. It was the preamp of my dreams for more than 5 years. Recived the box with everything inside (preamp, foot-switch, papers, etc.

The problem is that i get a midrangy sound out of it with lack of lows and harmonics. To get lows and low-mids i have to turn the knobs all the way up. It suxx, it sounds worse than my ampeg svt-3 head and even my behringer thunderbird bx108 which i use for home practice.

I have the following basses.

EBMM SR5
1977 fender jazz bass
Warwick Thumb Bo5
Yamaha RBX 765a

As you can see the problem is not in the bass guitar itself, it's in the unit.

Are all de SWR mini mo'bass like this or i just have a faulty unit?

Thanx in advance

Andrew

Sounds like either finger-trouble or a faulty unit.
