Synths:

Korg G5
Akai Deep Impact
Electro Harmonix Bass Micro Synth
Boss SYB 3 or 5
Markbass Super Synth

There are plenty of others, but it's late here and none are popping into my head...

Some that kind of fit the Synth theme might be:

Moogerfoogers
WMD Geiger Counter
Octaves like the Boss OC-2

I'm starting to get more into building a synth rig with synth like pedals (moogs, fuzzes etc) as opposed to actual synth pedals. I used to own the Boss pedals, Korg, digitech and currently own the Deep Impact and EHX Bass Micro Synth. I find some of the actual synth pedals to be a bit cheesy sounding sometimes.

EDIT: In the time it took me to write that, most the ones I posted have already been mentioned

The Chunk is awesome but WAAAAAAAY expensive. I'd go with the Boss SYB-3 or 5.

Try out a Markbass Super Synth if you get a chance. I own one and can get some convincing "old school" synth sounds out of it. I'm quite impressed with it. (This coming from an old guy who used to program synths "in school" in the 70s & 80s)

I've spent about half an hour in a room in a music shop with the MBSS. It has some very useable and fat sounds.
