been hearing about these for a while, now... never seen one in use, though. i remember reading a long time ago that they don't have the most impressive build quality.

cool idea, though.

Then you may not have heard of Pedalgeek.com
Here you go I opened a big can of worms for you!

The Third hand is definitely one of those "why didn't they think of this sooner" ideas.

It's sort of an awkward design to put on a pedal board. That cable would stick way up from everything else, and if you wanted to take it down, you'd have to loosen the allen screw that holds it in place and then retighten and recallibrate the whole thing at the gig.

The concept has been round since the 80s, possibly earlier. It was released as the Electro Harmonix Hot Foot.

Yeah it would be cool to experiment with but quite expensive, who knows maybe someone will make a better cheaper one

Yeah, there was a review thread about it somewhere. I believe the reviewer said (like burgermeister remembers) that the build quality wasn't that great. I think there is just a string connecting the pedal to the cable mechanism. The problem was that the string would slip so you wouldn't have very good control of the knob it connected to.

I really wanted one of these to attach to my Xotic X-blender to make the blend expression controlled, but the lackluster reviews from years back and the total lack of communication I got when trying to contact the company a couple of times turned me off to it.
