T-Rex Bass Juice

Seems to have been a while since any posts about this pedal. I recently got this pedal, along with a T-Rex Sweeper Chorus and Replica Delay. Loving all of them so far!

After reading some pretty mixed opinions on this pedal, its the first dirt pedal thats really had me excited. I've gone thru a variety of pedals that do dirt in one form or another; Mxr Bass Fuzz, MXR Distortion +, HBE Hematoma, VT Bass, EHX Big Muff PI, EHX BBM, MI Audio Tubezone - none of which really ever had me happy for one reason or another.

The thing I like most about the bass juice is that you can set it as a nice warm distortion, then kick it into fuzz with the boost switch. The low end seems to be ever present in any setting, and the mix knob means I can mix in clean tones for definition.

I'm using an Xotic BB Preamp as my light overdrive, then the Bass Juice as a Distortion and Fuzz. Works wonderfully!

Any other Bass Juice fans?

I like mine. It does have some drawbacks but a solid overdrive. Definitely a wide range of tones, but I find with the gain past about 11 oclock the boost channel has too much of a volume jump for me.

I use one on a blended channel, with 50% staying clean and the other 50% going through the stomp box. With that 50/50 mix on top of the blend knob the Bass Juice offers built in, I am a huge fan.

Bass Juice isn't the dirtiest OD, but the sound preservation and fuzz capabilities are well worth looking at.

I had one for about a week. Didn't like it, but I can't remember why...

I bought it as my main bass distortion but now I use it in my eye of god effects loop, you can get it to sound quite nasty which I love , I'm not a massive fan of it when you use its mix function, I know the point is that you don't lose any low end but it almost sounds like two basses playing in honesty...

Definitely dig the Bass Juice. It's good enough that it not only supplanted my trusty old Bass-Drive on my board, it actually convinced me to kick the Bass-Drive to the curb...and I almost never sell pedals.

Its funny because the Bass-Drive is the other half of my distortion line. I don't use both of them together generally, but they are on the same loop. They do nearly the same thing, differently in a good way.
