Is there a DI box/EQ pedal?

I've been thinking about splashing out on a decent DI box. Not to replace my amp but in case of emergencies! I recently had a gig where I was told I could borrow a house bass amp but it caught fire on stage during the band before mines performance. I had to go through a DI box with very little EQ and it was pretty traumatic all around.

I don't think I'd get a whole lot of use out ofthe DI side of the amp but was thinking if I could find one that had a seperate EQ section that could be engaged I could justify splashing the cash as it would be dual purpose.

Anyone got any recommendations? :)

I play metal but I use slap, fingers and pick.

Tech21 Sansamp, Sadowsky, Aggie Tone Hammer, Rusty Box, lots of choices.

Hartke VXL bass attack is an inexpensive alternative.

Carl Martin makes a little known parametric eq preamp with DI. And Fishman makes a graphic eq DI designed for bass.

Also, there are a lot of other better known options--Tonehammer, Eden WTDI, Sadowsky, EBS, Hartke VXL; Tech 21 makes several: the Paradriver, the BDDI, the VT, etc. Many choices.

And then there are the multi-effects with DI-Zoom B3, etc.

I haven't received mine yet, but there is also the 3 leaf audio enabler which is supposed to be really clean. It also has a headphone out for silent practice.

+1 ...3Leaf Enabler is an amazing DI/EQ/Headphone Amp. All 3 are fantastic.

Just bought an MXR M80. DI, EQ, Distortion. So far so good.
Much better than the Hartke it replaced. That thing was killing my tone.

3 Leaf Audio Enabler, Sansamp BDDI, Aguilar Tonehammer come to mind.

The enabler rocks! Sounds so good! My recommendation.

I like the Tone Hammer. Use the clean mode as your primary EQ into your amp/cab when available, then turn on AGS to use it as your amp modeling if you need to run direct. I use mine AGS on all the time and never use a cab, I'm always running straight to the FoH.
