I've seen it suggested more than once that this is based on the Keeley 'Phat Mod' for the Boss BD-2. (Presumably because it has a 'Fat' switch, not sure if anyone has actually heard one yet). While the BD-2 doesn't get good reviews for bass, the BD-2 with Keeley mod gets the thumbs up on talkbass, so provided Mooer have done a faithful copy this should be a good 'un

Malekko is pretty much off my list by now, since I heard plenty not so god comments on them, in terms reliability, built quality etc.
So I'm still looking or a good overdrive or distortion box in that small format, as well as an octaver, envelope filter and possibly a bit crusher thing in the same format.
