Sign in to disble this ad
hey there all.
have tried a few different looper pedals, and can't find a tiny one that i like.
DOES anybody make a close to MXR sized looper that's just a simple click once to start loop, click again to stop?
i like the way the looper works on the DL4, but that was all i was using it for. and that is a LOT of pedalboard space for just that.
any suggestions?
thanks!

the DL8 looks interesting.... but i thought it did that weird thing where you hold down your foot to start the loop then lift your foot up to put the endpoint of the loop? that's a bit funky.....
my local (non GC) store has one tho. guess i'll play with it for a bit.
yerm!

Yes, it seems funky, but with a bit practice you'll get used to it, like all loopers.
Anyway, the smallest I can think of would be the ZVex Lo-Fi Junky, which isn't really bass friendly.

The external footswitch is great to get UNDO without a lot of gymnastics. I liked the RC-2 a lot and used it as my main looper for a while. Highly recommended as the smallest full featured looper I know of.

thanks!

Good pedal feel. Good I/O options. And you can use long tap-tempo times and high feedback settings to get loopy with some of the other delay modes. The DD-7 could be the be all and end all if you don't need presets. A really sweet pedal, and a good basic looper.
FWIW, I went from using a RC-20XL/DD-20 combination to a RC-2/DD-7 and they both work very well. The 20/20 rig is one of the best looping environments out there, but it isn't compact. The 2/7 setup is much more compact but the temptation to expand it with footswitches and expression pedals was too much. That loses the size advantage very quickly.

'cause that's $1249 and rack mounty. my setup is a pedalboard making all the tones going into a rackmount power amp to some aggy gs112's. i kinda want to keep all tone generating stuff on the pedalboard.
lol.... and a BIT out of the price range i was hoping for.
sigh...... just want a tiny little basic (cheap) looper. don't WANNA use up all the space for the DL4.
i am gonna go give the DL8 a run through.
woop!

it's pretty much all the interesting delays from the Line 6 DL4, but in a MUCH smaller footprint. good stuff. would be neat if it had presets like the DL4 too, but it is way tinier. and i think i'm gonna just use it as a looper.
thanks everybody! y'all ROKK. like birds.
