tone controls before the mxr m80+

Sign in to disble this ad
hey guys

im revamping my board atm,
and i've been trying out a fender volume/tone pedal.
tried it before and then after a crowther hotcake

and i noticed that the tone control doesnt do anything before the pedal. but heaps after the pedal.

so i was wondering if it does the same with the mxr m80+?

im just using the mxr as a DI after the rest of my pedals..

cheers

Nothing before the pedal? Whack. That's the opposite of what I would have expected.

It's a passive circuit, so it should work more or less the same as a passive tone control on a bass.

This is one of those "try and see" scenarios - I doubt anyone's gonna have direct experience here. My money is on "it'll do the same thing."

Do "they"? I've never heard that one. My tone knob works just fine, regardless of what it's plugged into. If that were true, then plugging your bass into an amplifier would defeat the tone knob!!!
