Tone Hammer vs. Sadowsky DI

I'm looking to get a preamp/DI that I can use to send my signal to FOH without having to lug around my head. I play Laklands and a Marcus Miller Jazz and love their tones, so I'm looking for something that won't completely change that. I've tried the Sansamp and it just isn't what I'm looking for. Now for the question...
For those of you who have tried both the Aguilar Tone Hammer and the Sadowsky preamp/DI, how would you compare the two? I'm leaning towards the Tone Hammer just because of the additional tone shaping capabilities in the mids. Secondly, I've been looking on here and looking for a manual to try and understand the AGS function on the TH, is it like a separate "channel" that you can set set all the knobs to like on the programmable Sansamp BDDI or just a built in boost?

hear hear. I thought the AGS was merely a non-controllable boost.

those that have the sadowsky seem to fall in love with it, and a lot of what I read about the TH say it's worth all the hype.

I would love to know the real lowdown, as my amp is models with a digital EQ.

if you want something that won't change your tone, the sadowsky DI pedal is very very transparent IMO.
i use it to cut thru the mix and it doesn't change my original bass sound.

i have a VT bass before the sadowsky for tone shaping.
