The LED is a multi-color LED, I got it at Radio shack for like $2 or $3. It has 4 leads. There are 3 colors, Red, Blue, and Green. They have a common anode, and the other 3 leads are their respective cathodes. So I wired the anode to a resistor, I'm not sure of the value, I think it was 510 Ohms, and then to the ground of the circuit. Germanium pedals are typically 'positive ground,' so the ground trace of the circuit is +9V. The stomp switch I used was a 3PDT switch. The first pole is for the circuit input, the second is for the circuit output, and the third is for the LED. It was pretty simple, wire the center terminal to the negative side of the power leads, then the Green lead to the 'Off' side, and the Blue LED to the 'On' side.
Not all that difficult.
