Tonebender MKII Clone Doing The Beatles' "Think For Yourself"

Sign in to disble this ad
Just so you know, I've read that Paul used a Tonebender MK1.5 for "Think For Yourself" but there's no harm in trying to approximate the tone with my MKII I don't figure so here we go. Check it out:

This was recorded at extremely low volume through a clean amp. So what do you think? Close to the original or no?

Not really, but still very nice tone.

Your earlier clip with "Hey Hey, My My" inspired me and I'm looking at Tone Benders right now. But I wonder if you used clean or cranked amp for that one.

Paul used the Mk1 for that track... the Mk2 is a very different animal, and doesn't sound similar at all. See here:

Cool cool! That was the amp set clean for Hey Hey, My My. Completely and utterly clean.

Yeah cool! I am digging the Tonebender now. I've also got a Maestro Fuzz Tone FZ-1S clone in the works that I'm excited to try.

Oh, and I actually got a pretty big sound out of the Tonebender with the Fuzz rolled to minimum and running it into my amp when it was cranked up a bit:
