TR-2 vs Pulsar

I'm looking for a tremolo pedal, i already read some topics about tremolos, but they usually go more into the boutique pedals, which i can't afford and can't find that easily.

In your opinions, what's the difference between those two pedals? Is there any other tremolo that you think i should look for? I don't want volume drops (but if i buy the tr-2, it comes already modded i think), and the more crazier sounding, the better

And, by the way, what's the difference between a tr-2 and a pn-2? (aside of the pan effect, of course)

I've never used a PN-2 so I can't comment there.

The first thing that jumped out to me with the TR-2 was the volume drop, but if you're getting it modded (Keely?) then that's not an issue.

The Pulsar sounds more natural and has a bigger range of usable speeds. The Boss can get a harder square wave cutting sound. Neither can do a tube tremolo sound. So it depends on what you are using it for. All IMO of course.

I've had the Tr-2 a long time it is a ok pedal, it's one of the only boss pedals I like, The volume mod takes under five minutes to do and is very easy.

just as The Big O said, the Boss can get a more dramatic "on/off" sound than the Pulsar. Is that your idea of crazy?
