Hey guys!
I've been the proud owner of an Electro-Harmonix Stereo Memory Man w/ Hazarai for a couple years now, and I absolutely love the thing. Perfectly tweakable delays, tap tempo, presets, and looping all in one handy pedal, what more could you want?
However, in my past couple months here on TB, I've been exposed to a ton of pedals I never would've known of otherwise. And my practical occupancy in the Effects Classifieds has opened my mind and taste in pedals. I got the idea to see what I could swap my SMMH for, and I'd like to know as many options as I can, and get some feedback on them.
Here's what I've got so far:
Line6 DL4
Akai Headrush E2
Hardwire DL-8
Any other pedals/input on these or others?

Those oher pedals are all nice but unless you really know that you're trading up to a pedal that will do the job better, just stick with the Memory Man. It's a great pedal!
Having said that, if you want the be all & end all (from what I've gathered) of digital delays, go with an Eventide Time Factor

i had a SMMH for quite a while. Loads of options, but the knobs seemed to be tuned for an extreme range of wild settings rather than "practical" ones. I'd call it a good product, but not a great digital delay. |
