Tremelo Comparisons

Sign in to disble this ad
Considering adding one to the lineup. Doubt it'll be used all that much, so hate to spend a whole lot. I've tried both ends of the spectrum- Empress (awesome) and TR-2 (gets the job done), but I see the Pulsar, Catlinbread, Voodoo Lab and Demeter get good reviews as well here. Also looked at the MXR, Fulltone and Guyatone online. No clue what to get... Thoughts and comparisons? Thanks.

Good question, I occasionally entertain the thought of a tremolo but like you said, it wouldn't get much use. A combination tremolo/phaser <$200 would be pretty cool.

If it had tap tempo, the EBS TremoLo would probably be the biggest hit around here.

Variable waveform Trem and LFO low pass filter.

I want one.

It really all depends on how you want to use a tremolo... More info?

I loved my Empress. I'd check new Diamond tremolo - looks really, really nice.

There is one more option - you can get ring modulator and use it as a trem.

What's interesting is that you didn't answer my request for more info hahaha ...

So, how do you want to use the tremolo? Fast, slow, both, ramping, tap, etc. Heavy, ambient, rock?

I love my 4ms Tremulus Lune. It's usable and madness.
