True bypass rack tuner

Sign in to disble this ad
As the title suggests- Does such a thing exist anymore, haha. I'm really struggling to find one and it seems all that's around anymore is the Behringer and well... I'd rather reserve that as a last choice kind of thing, but if you can convince me it tunes as good if not better than my Polytune and doesn't make the sound yucky (when true bypass isn't true bypass) I might consider it.

Thanks guys! ^_^

The Behringer will not do. Especially if you've got a 5-banger (it has serious trouble tracking the open B string). When I got my rack tuner 9 or so months ago, the only professional quality rack tuner still in production that I could find was the Peterson StroboRack. Korg has sadly discontinued all their models. I've been very happy with my StroboRack, but it is a bit spendy as tuners go...

Most rack heads have a dedicated tuner out so the tuner doesn't need to be in your signal chain at all. You can also just run your effects loop out, but not return to it, assuming you're not running other rack effects in the loop.
