Trying to hook up Korg DTR-1000 tuner

Sign in to disble this ad
My first rack system, my first rackmount tuner.

How do I hook this up? My Mesa M-Pulse 600 has a "Tuner Output" on the back, so I used a short patch cord to go from output on the back of the Korg tuner to the "Tuner Output" on the back of the Mesa. But what else do I need to do? I can hook up the bass to either the front or rear input on the Korg, but I am getting no sound. The manual I downloaded on the Korg does not go into details. Neither does the manual for the Mesa.

If you're using one of the back input jacks on the Korg, you have to select it on the front panel. The front input jack is the default. If you haven't selected the back input, that's probably why you're not getting sound. If that doesn't do it, we'll have to get into how you connected it.

The "Tuner Out" on the amp needs to be connected to the "In" on the tuner...... Not the "Out". If you're going that way..... Otherwise, Bass to the "In" on the tuner, then tuner "Out" to the amp "In".

The "Tuner Out" connection shouldn't affect things if the bass is plugged into the amp "In".
