TT ST200 Do I have to live with the loud *POP*?

Awesome tuner. I never realized how out of tune my bass was using my old tuners until I got this thing yesterday. But the problem is it POPS so loud when I actuate it (ironic since the loud pop mutes it afterward). My other TPB pedals don't pop. Did I get a bum unit or is it something I just have to live with?

Question: if you stomp it on and off a few times, does the loud pop stop?

any chance you have a tuner out on the amp? leave it on all the time and you wouldnt really have to worry about it. its a band aid, but it would stop the noise.

Yeah, with just about any true bypass pedal, you have the potential to pop. That's the reason so many companies switched to the "soft" switching like the boss, etc., back before true bypass was so in demand.

No amp. My band goes straight to DI and we get in ear monitors.

I wish this tuner didn't do it everytime. My Fulltone does it maybe once every 10 actuations.

Mine is dead silent. If it's brand new, you may be able to return/exchange it.
Just my thoughts.
