TU-2 and Volume Pedal Order?

Sign in to disble this ad
I usually use a Boss TU-2 that my bass connects to and then runs to the bass head. If I buy a volume pedal, should it go after the TU-2 or before?

Shouldn't matter. They have nothing to do with each other.

I would put the volume pedal after the tuner so i can heel down the pedal for silent tuning. If you run the volume before the tuner you will not be able to use this method as no signal would make it to the tuner.

Just a thought, and don't forget about the handy mute switch most amps have now a days.

Also, thank you for reminding me to pack my tuner for rehearsal (I've forgotten it a couple times now...)

I put my volume in front of the tuner so I can turn down the bass and unplug it between sets without sending a pop to the PA/Front of house.

Some volume pedals have a tuner out. Could be handy.
