is the tube inside my EBS valvedrive dead?

Im a newbie with tubes.... yesterday when I turned on my EBS valvedrive tha volume was strangely low and with unwanted "distortion".. is this a sign of a dead tube?

That sounds like a dead tube to me. what does the tube say on it, ie is that a AX tube... etc.

It's a standard 12AX7, and yes, sounds like it needs a new one. I just changed mine last week, and it's better than when it was new. Awesome pedal.
