I'd like schematics. Any chance you could show some to us? Particularly the DI box one. I'm extra curious about that. I was looking into a REDDI, but they're so expensive and I love DIY......

letting a little secret out, one of the boards os a 5F6A preamp. I might turn this into a full amp, but it will be a guitard oriented amp. So I wont change it to a ss rectifier and 6550's. If I make it a full head. The other is a really interesting bass preamp design I found somewhere..can't remember off hand. But If I like it I'll keep it.

THe basic everyday preamps will have AX7's and BH7's. Nothing fancy, the mic pre's and di boxes will have ef86's and some other types I'm currently on the fence about.

Looks nice! I've always wanted to put together some tube amps, but I never even have time for all my effects projects so that's never happened.

Looking forward to seeing the builds progress.

Been working with tubes since I was 19 I think, its a lot of fun becasue chaning one simple part and you will hear it, maybe not drastically, but you will. thats the fun. So in a sense a schematic is a guide..not a rule.

Hey Mike, What part of Chi Town are you in? I am on the far Southside and build custom tube guitar amps. I am 3/4 of the way thru a preamp build of a very well known high end bass tube preamp, for myself. I am considering a bass tube amp build. I have the schematic done and am drawing up the layout

Well I have a project going on my breadboard. I'm still tweaking it around at the moment but I'm happy with the results.
