But Peterson has been around for a long time and wih the updated firmware I say pick peterson classic. Its built well, but its rather heavy for a tuner at least to what I have been using which were not strobe. Its about 2 pounds. Although 2 pounds isn't considered heavy but for a tuner it is. But it looks so cool.

I searched for a Korg Pitchblack Chromatic Pedal Tuner / TC Electronic PolyTune thread.
Based on what I have seen, I am going for the PolyTune as it will be great in my new mini pedal board configuration in favor of the rack mount I've been hefting around. |

sorry guys, you both missed the boat on this one.
(oh, and pitchblacks and polytunes aren't even in the same ballpark)

The Sonic is a steal at $129. |

If you dig it, cool, but if you can return it (as a former Peterson owner) you will be MUCH happier with the Sonic... much better build quality, faster better tracking, easier to see on stage, and actually more accurate (if you are using it for intonation and set-up). It is also about 30% of the size of the Peterson.
Edit: The only advantage the Peterson might have for some players is you can set it to stay on when playing. The Sonic turns off when bypassed (great for battery life!).

I caved and bought the Sonic as my first. I plan on it being my last. And because it's so simple, you can use it to accurately tune ANYTHING.

| | | | I guess I'll be another vote for the Korg PitchBlack. I've been using one for 6-months now, and love it. Small enough to pack easily in my gig-bag, tough, easy-to-use. I haven't used it outside, so can't speak to it's visibility in sunlight (as others have commented), but find it easy to read and use inside.
