Hows it done? ive read somewhere that changing the pots for others with less impedance was one way. |

I'm not really into pedal modding but changing the values of certain resistors(or pots), capacitors and inductors will affect the tone.

Changing pots is definitely not the answer. Very often it's a matter of modifying the circuit so that low frequencies aren't filtered out - this usually involves changing a few capacitors.

However if I want to blindly mod a pedal for more lows without understanding the circuit first, I usually try replacing the input and/or output caps with ones that are 10x the value of the ones that are in there. But that's like saying "when I want to fix an appliance without finding out exactly what's wrong, I just hit it really hard on the side". Sometimes it works.  |
