Waiting on my doorstep when i got home from work this afternoon:

And I know some of you will be asking for the gut-shot (sorry a bit fuzzy):

Unfortunately this is just a teaser. I have to head back to work tonight, so I don't think I'll be able to record any clips until the weekend. Even then, they'll be pretty limited since I still don't have much use of the middle two fingers on my fretting hand.

Yeah, that's kinda mean. My first thought upon seeing the post was, "maybe there'll be sound clips!"

Yes I know that the Tweaktronics site has clips, but I was hoping to hear more differenter clips.. to live vicariously through other peoples enjoyable sounds.

Oh well... I eagerly await the new sounds of your bass with your Octasynth.

I see that the Amonitron/ Dynamic Filter is out and for sale at ebay now. Does anybody know if they had clips of that anywhere at anytime?

I don't know of any clips, but I'm seriously thinking of picking it up. For $100, can you really go wrong?!

I got mine too and I must need to spend some time with it because the ten minutes I spent with it last night were not impressive.
Maybe I misunderstood what it is supposed to do. After listening to the clips I assumed it would track fine.
Mine seems to switch frequencies (or Track) unpredictably no matter how or what I play. Is it supposed to be sort of a noise box or is supposed to track better?
The way it was working for me would be unusable for even the simplest bass lines because it the sound it make switches all over the place and makes it sound like I'm playing with the worst timing ever.
I'm going to assume I need to change where it is in my signal chain and try some different basses.

Yeah I tried it all alone in the signal chain with 4-5 different basses and playing techniques and it's pretty unpredictable.
I got an email in so I'll keep ya'll posted.

This is what I got as an answer to my questioning the tracking.

"Hi,

A lot of the normal octave pedal caveats apply with this pedal... notes further up the neck tend to track better (because they have less harmonics) Using the neck pickup also helps.

It tracks much better than the MXR bluebox that hi have here, but it's not "perfect"

The best way I found to get it to sound like it's playing nice is to mix some of the non-octave back in.

- btm85
"

I did play around with it more last night and this morning. I found that if I use a passive bass and play quarter notes at around the 9th fret and up it works well. If I let notes ring out it abrubtly and unpredictably changes around.
I replied to his answer asking if I can trade mine in for a dynamic filter. If that doesn't work out I'm selling the octasynth.
I mean it has some cool things about it but it's not usable for my situation.

Maybe tomorrow, I don't have any way to record at home. I might be able to at practice tomorrow though.
