Question Two different markbass comps?

Sign in to disble this ad
No, I'm not trying to deceive everyone or start a rumor but I did notice something strange. After reading up on the MB Comp I decided to treat myself to a "Christmas Compressor." It looked awesome: tube, six different controls and a reliable name. I was about to order one from a website when I noticed something. On the website it showed the comp with only five controls but on the MB homepage it showed six.

Here's the MB homepage: http://www.markbass.it/products.php?...cat=6&vedi=121

Here's the website I looked at: http://www.music123.com/Markbass-COM...74051.Music123

Was there an early five knob version released? Am I in danger of getting a prototype model if I order now? All the other online stores I checked show a five know version...Weird question, I know, but I want to be safe before I drop my hard earned bucks.

I believe the prototype was 5 knobs. The chances are music123 just have the wrong picture attached. I would contact them to be double sure though.

Yes. The original Super Synth had three knobs, and I believe they were different controls as well IIRC.

The 5 knob pic is missing the volume control. That can't be good.

The ones in the store have 6 knobs. The production model has 6.

Sorry I didn't see this thread before. The one I have, which AFAIK is the normal production model, has six knobs.

I suppose I'll order one up here shortly. I'm betting that they just forgot to update the picture.
