Two Door Cinema Club Bass Sound

Hey guys

Just wondering if any of you had any idea what pedals Kevin Baird from Two Door Cinema Club uses, or how he sets up his amp, as I absolutely love the sound of his bass.

Especially in the song What You Know, and the synthy distortion he has in I Can Talk.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Saw his board at a recent show. He's got a Tech 21 SansAmp 3-Channel Programmable Bass Driver DI. I'll try to upload a pic.

I know he tends to use An ampeg 410 cab with a Gallien Krueger RB x2

he also uses some sort of sampler in a few songs for very synthy sounding bass if i remember correctly from Coachella. fairly simple setup though. jazz bass, ampeg is probably the money maker though.

I too thought that the sound on that track was fantastic but on closer listening, there's a synth doubling the bass part. Not every note but most of them

I think to achieve his tone he uses the EHX micro bass synth pedal along with a over drive

There is as others have mentioned a synth bass sound in the chorus of that song for example. That sound in the second verse where's he's playing the bouncy bassline is all him I think, but the moment the chorus kicks in there's a synth with him.
