Hi everyone!

Dose anybody know witch Fuzz/Distortion pedal Urlo, the bassplayer from Ufomammut uses?

It sounded soooo huge last time i saw these guys live.

His pedal was black, three knobs and looked like it was some custom job?

Just wanted to hear if anyone knows it

Thanks !

Like your taste in music, you should look up a band called MOrkoBot, Same label as ufomammut but its 2 bassists and a drummer(but believe me, you can't tell).

Last I remember, he just cranked up a tube amp. And he has a badass cab that has "MORTE" written on it.

His bass tone is epic, to say the least.

Urlo uses custom Matamp tube amps, and I've got to think that they're a big part of his tone. He's definitely using some kind of overdrive on top of that basic sound though.

I found an old, old interview with him here: urlo

"What kind of amps, strings, any other gear do you use?
I got a Marshall JCM800 MKII amp and a Steelphone cabinet 400W. As I told You I'd like to change all for an HiWatt or an old Sunn. No particular problems for the strings, they only have to be really heavy! I use a 130-105-90-70 scale.

Then I've some distortions (an UFOCTAFUZZ, a so called **** - it was an old D'addario- and a boss analog overdrive), an Electro Harmonix SMALL STONE and a BASSBALLS, a Morley Wah and a Boss analog delay. That's all... for now.

On track #4-SNAKE the BASS really stands out, do you using any effects? Pedals etc.
Sure, the UFOCTAFUZZ and the small stone. Well, basically I always use a distortion:-)"

I doubt he's using that UFOCTAFUZZ anymore, but who knows. I couldn't find anything more current.

One of the best bands ever, with one of the best bass tones ever.

People who don't like Ufomammut are fools. Fools I say!

Heres the response I got earlier this year from T-Pedals about having one of those beauties shipped to me in the US:
Quote:
Hi, the Black Fuzz costs 210 euro + 46 euro shipping to US.
The pedal is custom made in 3 weeks, shipment arrives in few days.

Ciao
Alberto
$346 US dollars

That tone is sooooo dreamy. Hopscotch
