There is aboslutely no reason why you would need any power "conditioning" with any of our products. Your amp does not need it, it was designed to handle anything that a power conditioner would protect from anyway and then some.

If you want to get one for convenience, there's nothing wrong with that provided it's well constructed.

The general consensus is that rack mount power "conditioners" are over priced glorified power strips. That said they are convenient to have if you have a large rack full of processors, preamps, poweramps, etc.

The conditioner part is all marketing hype and a lot of smoke and mirrors.

If you get one I'd recommend avoiding all the BS that comes with on these things. A voltage meter and perhaps a fuse/breaker is all you really need (if at all). I don't really find a use for the ones with the built in lights.

I have a Gemini and the Voltage meter works when it wants to. I'd steer clear.

Also consider (since you are in the effects forum) a pedal tuner run off a battery. That way you only have one thing to plug in (your amp).

The size of the amp makes the quality issue of the power strip more important, as it has increased current draw over smaller, less powerful amps. Generally, the bigger than amp, the better the internal protection is naturally.
