VT Bass Deluxe Blending

Ok, so right now I have the VTbass at the end of my effects chain. I like it there because when I'm playing through headphones it sounds like I'm going through an amp and cab like my live setup. And when using it's DI all my effects go through it. But I do also like it for a medium to light distortion as well. The thing is that when I use it that way, I prefer it blended. I'm using a boss ls-2 for that. But to do that I have to move it from being last in my effects chain. What I'm wondering is if there is a way to set everything up so that I can route the VTbass to the ls-2 for blending when used for distortion and then route it back to being at the end of the chain as a preamp. All without having to unplug and swap cords around. Is this possible with the effects loop or 2nd input on the vt or is there a way through the ls-2 to do this? Open to ideas, thank you!

I'm not sure but try this. Plug your bass into the VT Bass pedal. Take the efx send of the VT and route that to the LS-2's return A jack. Take the parallel out of the VT Bass and route that to the LS-2's return B jack. Route the output of the LS-2 to the VT Bass efx return jack. You will need to put a dummy jack into the input of the LS-2 and have it set for mix. Engage the VT Bass efx loop and you should now be able to mix the uneffected sound of the parallel out with the SansAmp out of the VT Bass.

Let us know how if it works. An easier way would be to use a blender type unit like the Radial Mix.

This should be functionally the same as Tech21nyc's suggestion, but if one doesn't work, maybe the other will. Or maybe they both will and you can decide what you like.

Bass>LS-2 Input> LS-2 Output> VT Return.

LS-2 Send (A or B)> VT Input> VT Send> LS-2 Return.

Thanks for the replies. Finally got around to trying it out and both suggestions work.
