Whammy pedal

Hello,

I would like to buy a bass whammy pedal. I know there was a digitech pedal made for bass. It is still available on ebay and other for sale sites but is way overpriced. I have seen some write that the Digitech Whammy V is okay. I have seen still others write about the Eventide Pitch factor with expression pedal. I want to create the intro sound on the The Black Keys-Lonely Boy. There is a pretty significant difference between the price of the digitech pedal and the Eventide Pitch Factor plus expression pedal. But I have some cash saved up and only want to buy this stuff once.

Thanks for your feedback.

If I'm thinking of the right song, I can get a similar sound from my Boss PS-5 pitch shifter.

I use ps6 before it works for whammy effect but dont recommend it if you use it as pitch shifter. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=mhJmkJQAFd8 if you see the band here the bassist uses PS 5, during the bridge to outro.

Check it at 1:00 in this video. You can also turn the knob so the effect will rise in pitch also.

the Whammy V is awesome, it's a PS-6 that the Black Keys guy uses.
