what about the Xotic BB Bass Preamp?

i don't see them much around here, mostly for sale though...they sound pretty cool in clips i've heard. what is the deal-e-o with this pedal? looking to warm up and but some some character and growl/grit to my GK1001RBII...so many pedals to choose from...hows this one? between the BB Bass Preamp, Rusty Box and the carious Tech21 pedals, it's a tough call...

I think this is actually a very popular pedal on TB. I love mine for sure. I'm not sure if I'd describe it as 'warm', though.....but that's not what I'm using it for, so...

Warms up pretty nicely if you keep the gain low, volume high, and roll off some treble. I like mine.
