What circuit is the Ashdown Bass Overdrive based on?

Sign in to disble this ad
I was wondering if anybody knows what circuit this pedal is based on. I cracked it open the other day, but was far too lazy to remove the knobs and unscrew the jacks to get a good look at the PCB. I counted four or five ICs (I think most must be for the blend functions), and I saw what I take to be four silicon diodes. I guess it could be a tube screamer variant, but I don't have enough experience with tube screamers to know if the Ashdown is one or not.

I really like the Ashdown after my Russian Muff and was thinking of building Muff/OD combo pedal, so it would be cool to find out what the Ashdown is.

Thanks.

There are 2 Ashdown overdrive pedals, here's links to discussion of the dissection of both!
