What could be wrong with my AGRO?

I bought an AGRO (pedal) within the last year or year and a half, so it's relatively new. It's never left my house, let alone my basement. In the last three or four months it's taken me a bit of work to get it to work (trying batteries, jiggling with the adapter, etc.), but now I cannot get sound from it when engaged.

I tried two batteries and two adapters tonight. I tried with batteries AND adapters. Nothing. Just a bright blue beam. Last night I was able to get a little bit of sizzling and noise from it, but not the right sounds. I'm not rough with my gear and it's usually on my amp or on a shelf.

I forget if I bought this via ebay or from Best Bass Gear, but it was purchased brand new and from an authorized dealer. My problem is that I don't have a sales receipt or a slip (I don't think) due to this. I don't know if I can send it to Aguilar to get fixed/repaired.

I attempted to unscrew it and open it, but the pedal would not open. I cannot even see if anything is loose inside.

What would the problem be? I don't want to be out money because of this. I might even end up selling it because of my Rat Tail.
