Of all the pedals on your board, which one would you take to the grave with you?
I'll be honest, the only one I never play without is a Boss TU-2 tuner, so it doesn't really count, but after that if I could only have 1 pedal, it would be my Dod 440 envelope filter (clone), which brings just the right amount of funk when it's totally necessary.
Is your favourite pedal an expensive boutique beauty or a pawn shop reject??
Just interested.... |

If I had to choose only one *effect* to use, it would be a wah. I don't use it often, but boy, is it cool when I want it there. I'm in a trio, and sometimes I fill out the guitar-range during guitar solos with some overdrive, but other than that, I'm not much of an effects guy.

I think if I were limited to one pedal, (not counting a tuner), I'd just blow the whole thing off. Part of the charm of my board is how different pedals interact with others, so any one by itself would just drive me crazy. Yes, I have problems. |

| | | | Depending on what band I'm playing with, sometimes I won't bring any effects to the gig (unless you count my rack tuner). If I had to pick one effect, again it would depend on what band I'm playing with, but most often I'd choose an overdrive. |

It gets used a bit.
Also in a 3-piece + singer here.
Since we also do covers, I'd actually get bothered now not being able to "change amps & cabs" with my foot for some songs.

| +1
Add to that my Xotic Bass RC - also always on.
IMHO tuners (Boss TU-2) don't count as effects (although I'd want mine to be nearby as well).... |
