Do we have a price yet? I thought I saw on Facebook that preorders were starting next week?

Edit: found this, looks like its a limited run. Hoping this will replace my VT Basshttp://www.arsenalmusical.com/index....oduct_id=30100

Awesome mate! Glad to hear you liked the price, we worked very hard and were able to keep it at the same range as the B3K's .

Regards!
Doug.

Is this going to hit all of the outlets the other Darkglass are sold at or just some of the more local shops?

To me the holy grail of overdrive is John Wetton's tone on Larks tounge in aspic part 2. The B3k doesnt really nail that. Maybe the new one will. I also tend to shy away from od's that use a wet dry blend, to my ear it just never sounds right.

"* Available late January 2013! * This is the newest addition to the D.E. line, the Vintage Microtubes Overdrive. A classic and warm bass overdrive which can be used as a booster, clean preamp, or tube like overdrive. Available late January 2013. Limited run! Shipping still free! Vintage Microtubes: A tribute to classic tone “What we did for this one was to study the greatest and most legendary bass tones and all the components involved in creating them; amplifier brands, recording techniques, etcetera. The result is one of a kind experience. In addition to the mandatory Level and Drive knobs you can mix the clean signal in with the Blend knob. However, without any doubt the control that makes this pedal so unique and versatile is the ERA knob: This unique Knob unlocks some of the greatest tones characteristic of Rock & Roll throughout the ages! It interacts brilliantly with the Drive knob in order to recreate everything, from the smooth, warm and naturally compressed tone of the 70's to the aggressive and punchy growl of the 90's, plus everything in between!” Doug Castro, CEO & owner " http://www.arsenalmusical.com/index....oduct_id=30100

IMO, sounds very much like a VT Bass......The "ERA" knob has same function (so it seems) of the VT's "Character" knob. We'll see..... Also, wouldn't make sense (from a business POV) for Darkglass to make a pedal which is similar to or replaces their own B3K.

They are totally different, maybe the description sounds alike though, but sound-wise (and design-wise) they are totally different animals... the Vintage is not designed to emulate any specific amplifier brand or model but many different characters! (among my favorites Rush, Yes, The Who, John Paul Jones, TimmyC) sure some of them used Ampeg, but many of them didn't.

Also, I am not aware of other overdrives taking into consideration, for example, the natural compression produced by tape recording methods so characteristic of the 70's... our Vintage does!

Regards, Doug.

More like five. I'm sorry, Doug. If the World blows up the year is over.

And I'll be happy to pay now and get clips up the day it comes in.

I can't imagine needing anything other than my B7K. This sounds cool though.

I like the tones I hear people get from the other Microtubes pedals, but they're just a little too gritty and gravely(?) sounding to my ears to be perfect. This one sounds like the answer.
