Dude, you've made three different threads on the same topic, a topic that has been covered time and time again. Do a search.

RATM - Evil Empire - Bass Distortion??

Timmy C Discovery!

RATM bass tone

No modded pedals in sight.

Making more threads isn't the answer then the next person that has a similar question and does a search has to wade through a lot of inconclusive threads and most likely gets frustrated and just makes another thread. Patience is the key man.

I have the original UK Guv'nor (i got it in mint condition ), and it sucks a TON of low end, so you have to put it in a blender like everyone else said, or split your rig. It's an awesome dirt box, though. I just love how if i decide to sell it someday, the price is only going to go up from what i bought it for ( $200)

And yea, the compression in tube amps help avoid the loss of low end.. there was a thread on this if i'm not mistaken. Try searching "Why fuzz junkies should use tube amps". I'm sure that was the title.

You don't need to get a tube amp to make it sound good, you need to get a tube amp to make it sound better. Although, each to his own.

The purpose of a blender is to blend in some of your clean signal to keep the lows in the sound. You can dial in the amount of clean signal you want, and how much effected signal you want. Here's one: http://www.woundedpaw.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=141{4}28{7}30
