Envelope filters do stuff like this, and whether it would be useful to you depends on whether you could use one or not.

Be warned: Nobody's ever happy with just one. You'll probably end up with three, after selling six you didn't like. It's a lot like fuzz pedals...

Judging on the pedals on your board and the way you set them up, I boldly say: you don't need one.

You curious little cat.

Or if you can find a way to use it, that's cool too.

But I'm going to take a wild shot:

you play metal,.... right?

No need.

There are different kind of "metal". You are free to experiment off course.
It doesn't hurt if you know more about filter pedals.
But like I said: that's not an obvious or common choice for metal.

As for as addition to your board: there are several ideas.

I currently have a bass synthesizer pedal on order (Ibanez SB-7) wich I'm expecting to deliver a modern sound suitable for metal. Not every (metal) bassists cup of tea.

I also have a EHX POG on order, I wanna get organ sounds from it wich I think would be cool for a bass to sound like that next to "metal" distorted guitars.

A tremelo with a nice setting can be tweaked to give your bass a mellower tone in mellower passages in metal.

A phaser can give you cool lead sounds.

Possibilities are infinite, experimentation is the key.

Not to bash the ODB-3 from Boss, but I didn't liked it.
If it sounds good for you it's okay. This is all subjective.
But if you have the chance: try out an Ibanez Phat Hed bass overdrive.

The MXR gets used by itself.

The ODB-3 is just used as a booster. i couldnt get a good sound out of it either.

Hence forward, you will be known as "Eagle Eye".

And Metall Matt shall be known as "Flirting with Mids".
