Effects forum, I think I've caught your sickness. I confess - I even bought one of those Tweaktronix Octasynths (love it !) and some other effects I've never even plugged in yet. When in doubt I've bought stuff for the wife "to use on keys".
Anyway, I've had good luck with wahs, both auto (Chunk Systems 00Funk) and manual (Ibanez Weeping Demon) but this ... I dunno what to make of it. The sound clips sound great to me.
Anyone tried one? What do.would you use it for? I just love the name and the concept. Pretty funny site too. The guy is local to me, so maybe I'll hit 'em up for a demo. Just wondering what you expert effects junkines thought it might do. Maybe it's a bad idea for bass. If it doesn't preserve the lows I could always put a capacitor in though, so I'm not too worried about that. Or use it on keys?
"The Wah Anti Wah filter pedal produces monster fat “Queen like” guitar tones, plus other tones, from one easy to use pedal. It contains 2 analog wah filters each set
to 2 different frequency ranges. 1 wah filter is centered on the low freq range of the guitar and the other wah filter is centered on the high freq range. It is controlled by 1 knob, when 1 filter goes up in pitch the other goes down. This produces complex filtering making super fat guitar tones unobtainable from other pedals. It is like having 2 wahs in one box set opposite to each other. When 1 wah goes to the bass end the other goes to the treble. There are many combinations of tones in between.
It's not an auto wah that sweeps. It stays set at the tone you dial in."
